As Siya walked down the dusty path leading to her college , the sun peeked through the trees, casting golden rays that danced around her. The vibrant colors of her white kurti fluttered in the gentle breeze, but her heart felt heavy. The usual excitement of college was shadowed by the weight of her family's expectations and the lingering sting of her father's words.
Arriving at college, she was greeted by her friends, who were buzzing with laughter and chatter. Among them was Riya, her partner in crime, whose spirit was as bright as the sun. "Siya! Aaj to Tu ek dam patakha lag rhi hai bro!!" Riya exclaimed, pulling her into a tight embrace. "Itni pareshaan kyun hai? Kia hua??"
"Bss kuch nhi yrr papa..," Siya sighed. "Bss sab kuch papa ke hisaab se karna padta hai apne decision kuch le hi nhi paayi main yrr."
Riya's expression softened"yrr baat to shi hai teri vaise bhi tu uni beti thodi hai teu apni zindagi hai bro..!! "
Siya's heart fluttered at the thought. The dream felt so far away, yet so close when she was with Riya. Just then, a tall figure caught her eye. It was Arav, the mysterious boy from her class whose family values mirrored her own but whose demeanor was different. He was quiet, often lost in thought, yet there was something about him that intrigued her.
"Hey, dekh to kaun hai!" Riya whispered, nudging Siya. "Shayad vo teri madad kar de tujhe teri manzil tak pohachane mein..."
Siya rolled her eyes playfully. "Riya, he’s not my tye."
But as Aarav approached, "Hey, Siya," he said, his voice low yet warm. "You okay? You seem...off."
Caught off guard, Siya hesitated. "Just...thinking about my family."
Aarav nodded knowingly. "I get it. Sometimes it feels like the weight of the world is on your shoulders. But you have the strength to change that."
Siya was surprised by his words. "You really think so?"
"Absolutely. You just need to find what you want and fight for it," he replied, his dark eyes intense and sincere.
Later, as they strolled through the campus, Riya’s playful spirit ignited a spark in Siya. "Why don’t we start a project together? Esa kuch jisse ham kuch seekh bhi sake aur kuch sukoon bhi mile hume!" Riya suggested.
Siya's heart raced. "Like what?"
"What if we create a community group that empowers young women to follow their dreams? We could host workshops, invite speakers, and share our stories!" Riya beamed.
Aarav chimed in, "That sounds amazing. I can help with the logistics. We can bring in mentors who can guide you."
Siya’s mind whirled with possibilities. For the first time, she felt a flicker of hope. But as they brainstormed ideas, the reality of her family’s expectations loomed large. Would they support her if she took this path?
That evening, as Siya returned home, her heart raced. Her father was in the living room, watching television, while her mother was busy in the kitchen. The familiar tension filled the air.
"Siya, college kaisa hai?" her mother asked, her tone warm yet cautious.
"Shi raha, mummy hum ek project karne ke baare mei soch rhe the about women empowerment," Siya said, her voice wavering.
Her father looked up, eyebrows raised. "Kya matlab 'initiative'?in sab cheejo mein time wadt mat kato..You should focus on your studies."
Siya’s heart sank. She felt the familiar urge to retreat, but the fire within her ignited. "But Papa, ye ek mauka hai jiise main logon ki madad kar sakti hu apni aawaz uthane ke liye..."
The silence that followed was deafening. Her father's expression hardened, and Siya braced herself for the storm. But inside, she felt a surge of determination. This was her moment to stand tall, to fight for her dreams.
As the night deepened, Siya lay awake, her mind racing. She was at a crossroads, but she could feel the winds of change stirring....
Tomorrow would be a new day, a new challenge, and she was ready to embrace it.
